That is to protect the screen, and now that the earpiece is under the display, it’s more important than ever. There’s no way to get around it, this is a very thick case. And that is because of the protection it offers. This is a dual-layer case with a TPU inner layer and a hard polycarbonate outer layer that is designed to take all of the damage when (or if) you drop your phone. There are still holes on the back for getting to the fingerprint sensor and using the cameras. Even though this is a thicker case, the wide-angle camera is not affected with this case on. Which is always good news.

Not everyone wants a super thick case for their smartphone. As it makes it heavier and a bit tougher to actually use the phone. That’s where the Arkour Minimalist Ultra Thin Slim Fit Cover comes in. This is a slim fit case that is very slim, and the main reason for using it is to add grip to the backside of the LG G8 ThinQ.
This case is not going to protect the LG G8 ThinQ from as many falls as some of the other cases on this list. For example, there’s no lip over the display to protect it. So keep that in mind here. But with this case, you are going to get some grip on the back and sides, so you are much less likely to actually drop the phone. And that is always an important thing.

Incipio has a dual-layer case available for the LG G8 ThinQ as well, and it’s a really great one to check out. This one is all black, so it’s not flashy like some of the other cases on this list, but still a good option for a lot of people – it’s also one of the more expensive, but you are getting what you pay for.
This is a dual-layer case with a TPU inner layer and then a polycarbonate outer layer. This is done this way so that the polycarbonate outer layer will take all of the damage, when you do drop the phone. The TPU layer will protect the phone, instead of just using a hard case. This is because some cases will still scratch the phone it is supposed to be protecting. Which is not a good thing. Now this is a bit of a thicker case than some of the others out there, so keep that in mind when purchasing this one. It is going to make your phone much more bulky. Wireless charging does still work with the Incipio DualPro, even though it is a bit thicker.

Rounding out this list, we have a crystal clear case from Spigen. This is the Spigen Liquid Crystal which is a really good looking case and will allow you to still show off the design of the LGG8 ThinQ. This is especially great if you did get the red LG G8 ThinQ.
This case is similar to Spigen’s other cases, but it’s clear now. It is still a TPU case, so it’s not going to be super thick, but still add some grip to the LG G8 ThinQ. It will still protect the sides and front of the phone too. With the lip over the display, it may make it a bit tougher to use the LG G8 ThinQ, but it does still work pretty well for protecting it, if you do indeed drop the phone. Let’s face it, stuff happens. Even those of us who have never dropped our phones, will drop them eventually. There are still holes on the backside for the fingerprint sensor and the cameras. Also important, the case does not get in the way of the wide-angle lens on the back of the LG G8 ThinQ. Finally, this does not hinder its ability to charge wirelessly.
