Amazon Prime Video, also known simply as Prime Video, is an American subscription video on-demand over-the-top streaming and rental service of Amazon offered as a standalone service or as part of Amazon’s Prime subscription.
Of course, you can not only rent movies, but also buy a certain movie permanently, which means that you have collected the electronic version of the movie without a time limit. After renting a movie, you can watch it anytime within 30 days.
How to get an Amazon movie rental?
You can rent videos on the Amazon website, the mobile app, or the Prime video app on your TV, and the steps of rent are the same. Once you’ve paid for the rental, you can log in to your Amazon account on any device to watch the video.
1. On the PC side, open the Prime Video website in a browser and log in to your Amazon account. On your phone and TV, launch the Prime Video app.
2. Find the video you want to watch. You can browse the list of movies by category, or search for videos by title, genre, actor, or director.
3. On the video’s details page, you can select a rental option. If the video is free, you’ll see “Watch Now” or “Play movie”. Otherwise, you’ll see buttons to rent or buy the video. Click “More purchase options” and you’ll have the options to buy standard definition (SD), high definition (HD), or 4K UHD. Not all videos have the UHD option.
4. To find all of your purchased and rented video content, select “My Stuff“, then select the “Purchases” tab. This approach also applies to Prime Video app on mobile and TV.
Note: Once you rent a movie, you have 30 days to start watching it. Once you start watching, you have unlimited access to it for 48 hours. After that, it expires. Some titles have longer viewing periods.

How to download movies and shows from Amazon Prime Video?
If you plan to watch the video somewhere without internet, such as on a plane, you can download the video to your phone or tablet ahead of time.
Start the Prime Video app on the device you want to download the video onto. Select a file you want to download, open the video’s details page. When a download option is available, you may temporarily download videos you rent to one compatible download device.
The downloaded video can be viewed on an iOS or Android device, a Fire tablet, or a computer with the Prime Video app installed.
Not all Amazon Prime movies or TV shows are available for download, and you can only download content in certain regions, mostly in the United States. If you are a US Amazon user and want to download movies while traveling in other countries, it may not be available. You can download it in advance.
