TikTok and Billboard are partnering to launch a revolutionary chart tracking the top 50 most popular TikTok songs. Currently, “SkeeYee” by Sexyy Red leads, followed by Doja Cat’s “Paint the Town Red,” and Taylor Swift’s “August” in third place.
TikTok and Billboard describe this collaboration as the first official chart in the US, providing the most accurate record of the hottest TikTok songs. To compile the top hits, they analyze video creations, total views, and user engagement within the US TikTok community. The list updates weekly on Thursdays.
Importantly, this chart exclusively monitors trending TikTok songs in the United States, refreshing every Thursday morning, making it the first “official” chart dedicated to tracking songs on the platform.
To access the new top 50 chart, TikTok users can simply open the app, locate the round icon at the bottom corner of the screen, and click on it. From there, clicking the Music Charts button in the upper right corner reveals a list of the most popular songs. Users can also find the chart on Billboard’s website.
